Bikini Island by Werner Eislinger for Moroso

May 5, 2014

New from designer Werner Eislinger for the Moroso brand: Bikini Island is a modular system that allows you to combine elements to create your own space. The idea is to create a unique 'island' in the middle of the living room using different components - stools, tables, racks, containers, shelves.

The design is based on a challenge to the traditional placement of a sofa against a wall. It is now possible to build a composition from the centre of the room to the edges, instead of 'loading' the walls first, thus gathering friends and family together.

Bikini Island was originally designed by Eislinger for the 25 Hours hotel in Berlin. However, Moroso saw this project as an opportunity to apply the idea to home interiors. The collection will make its debut at this year's Moroso booth during the NYCxDesign exhibition.

The NewStudio salon in Nemiga 12 is a partner of the Moroso brand in Belarus.
