Salone del Mobile 2014: hello from the past from Rexite

Apr 30, 2014

The vibrant Rexite brand continues its collaboration with the masters of Italian design. Delfina, Abitacolo and Poppy are modern interpretations of past masterpieces.

Delfina, designed by Enzo Mari

Delfina is a new version of the famous armchair designed in 1974 by Enzo Mari for Driade, winner of the Compasso d'Oro award in 1979, still in production at the Rexite factory. The tranquil design of the Delfina looks remarkably modern even 40 years later. The elegant chrome-plated steel frame is fitted with colourful fabric covers. The covers are easy to remove, thanks to large zips that emphasise the chair's youthful spirit. A perfect classic for lovers of minimalism.

Abitacolo - design by Bruno Munari

Abitacolo, the so-called 'living module', was conceived in 1971 by the Italian designer, artist and writer Bruno Munari. It is a multifunctional structure with a unique interpretation of the home workplace. It is a real work unit equipped with a large work surface and plenty of storage space for documents, catalogues and appliances; there is even an unexpected gaming moment. Abitacolo can be quickly and easily assembled using just 8 knurled screws.

Poppy - designed by Raoul Barbieri

Poppy is a line of elegant tables with a glass top designed by Raoul Barbieri.  The latest addition is a tabletop with a diameter of 60 cm, available in the classic colours white, red and black. Poppy is the perfect coffee table for sophisticated bars and lounges, as well as a handy home accessory to relax with an aperitif.
