Choosing light fittings with Bontempi
Nov 30, 2021
The most expensive and exclusive interior design will fade if the lighting isn't right.
The Italian company Bontempi knows this and supports customers on their way to the right lighting design. The brand's lighting fixtures are a very flexible tool for creating the right composition and unique atmosphere.
The Circle floor lamp is recommended for the living room. The model consists of a concrete base and a lacquered steel structure. Part luminaire, part artistic installation, the Circle becomes the hero of the space and attracts attention with its arched structure. The model rises upwards to diffuse light in a completely unprecedented and original way. It's perfect for spotlighting your favourite coffee table chair.

For evening reading or sending emails before bed, a desk lamp is an absolute must. The Bontempi Blow, for example, which is complemented by a natural brass base. The shades are made of borosilicate glass and are available in two versions: an elongated cylinder or a sloping, squat shape. The 5W LED light source is concealed in a miniature wax candle-like lamp. The glass diffusers with a darkened underside spread the light evenly and fill the room with a pleasantly subdued glow.

While table and floor lamps serve for local lighting, the pendant lamps are absolutely essential as the main light source. A model from the same collection, Blow, is attached to the ceiling using a thin metal suspension. Like the table-top models, it is made with a plafond made of dark tinted glass, which adds to the charm of the ambience.
Another modern style model is the Spark. The socket is made of natural brass, then round flattened borosilicate glass plafonds are mounted on a common metal bar (or individual slim pendants). Like flying saucers, these spheres furrow the air and diffuse bright, intense light. The lampshade can be chosen in a transparent version or hand-painted in a smoky shade. Each piece, made of blown glass strictly by hand, becomes a unique and inimitable detail of the interior.
