Trend of the season: versatile indoor/outdoor solutions

Seasonal furniture? Not really.

Indoor/outdoor items, i.e. versatile offerings for the home and garden, are at the peak of popularity. European designers, forced to spend more time within the walls of the home, are rethinking familiar spaces. They want to bring the atmosphere of outdoor relaxation into the interior. To do this, along with a natural palette and natural materials, they recommend using modern outdoor furniture in the interior. The latter is easy to move and looks harmonious even in city flats.

An example of this will be the new outdoor collection from Italian brand Visionnaire. It is designed as a continuation of the Beauty collection, launched in 2020. One of the main new items is the Stankar line, which consists of a sofa, an armchair, a rocking chair and a low table. A distinctive feature of the pieces is the weaving of cord made from natural hemp and lurex. This solution is inspired by espadrilles, traditional Spanish footwear, which has become popular worldwide.

The new collection also includes an Aminta armchair designed by Giuseppe Vigano. The chair frame is made of steel pipes, and a removable padded cover is attached to the back for indoor use. The outdoor version is complemented by a round cushion, making it even more versatile.

The Farnese range, designed by Samuel Mazza, has a new elegant daybed inspired by the chair of the same name. It is made of rattan, leather and palm fronds, hand-bent and linked together by metal strips bearing the brand's logo. The daybed is also equipped with a sun visor that surrounds the headboard, as if inviting you to lie down and take a break from your day job.
