Lema: A fresh and practical solution on a reasonable budget

An example of a fresh and practical interior where the quality of the materials did not entail an inflated budget. The project was designed by Lema, an Italian company with considerable experience in the contract industry. The new complex, which opened in June 2020, offers studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 30 to 80 m². All equipped with an open kitchen, implemented in 3 types of layouts in different finishes and colours to guarantee a personalised experience. Architect Mauro Doro proposed a hotel concept with increased comfort that is ideal for business travellers. The Central is also loved by guests who want to avoid the obligations of a residential flat and are aiming for an extended stay.
The Lema factory has completely redecorated the 28 flats in the complex. In addition to bespoke elements, there are series items. For example the Bice armchair by Roberto Lazzeroni, the Sign round coffee table designed by Studio Kairo, and the Toa chairs from Lema's Officinadesign collection, where the classic form is expressed in a sturdy, colour-painted metal structure. The Luce table and the T030 system, designed by Piero Lissoni, are here in standard configuration but can also be customised in terms of size and finish. Finally, the project is not without Armadio al Centimetro Text, Lema's historic wardrobe programme, which offers maximum design freedom and customisation. The programme is designed around basic elements adaptable in height, width and depth, complemented by hinged and sliding doors. Thanks to an innovative and patented air purifying system, Lema wardrobes play an active role in odour control and disinfection of clothes and shoes.
Lema is the first company in Italy that has developed an integrated furniture system, from the production of raw materials to the packaging of the finished product. During its existence, the furniture factory has served clients from different parts of the world: hotels and sanatoriums ordered furniture for their buildings, luxury mansions and expensive offices.
