In the best MOROSO tradition

A showroom has been opened in Lyon, France, allowing the French public to appreciate the furniture masterpieces from the Italian factory Moroso. Three luxury pieces by Patricia Urquiola can be found here. They are modular sofas Moroso Lowland (the collection is named after Bob Dylan's song about the beautiful and sad eyes of a girl from Southern Scotland) and Shanghai Tip on elegant legs of chromed steel. The much-lauded, flower-shaped Bloomy is another highlight that graces the interior. The simple, modern model resembles a blossoming bud and symbolises the stages of a flower's life cycle.
The next three positions are the result of the creative thinking of another talented individual, the internationally renowned Italian designer Ron Arad. They are the No Waste dining table with a one-piece table top made of ultra-light aluminium, the Terreria shelving unit (a modular storage system made of clay and glazed stoneware) and the Soft Big rounded armchair. The model is characterised by its smooth lines, soft upholstery and versatile look that allows you to easily integrate Soft Big into any home or office interior.
Finally, we also see the work of designer Sebastian Herkner, the garden chair with Banjooli armrests, among the 'heroes' of the exhibition. The model is made in the African style and is based on the work of P. Urquiola and T. Boontier. The idea is inspired by the mating dances of East African ostriches; the armrests echo the wingspan of the male, flaunting his lover. Each one is very striking and individual and is made by hand, as this is the only way to make the unusual fishing line weave over the steel frame.
Moroso is an Italian factory, one of the world's top five furniture and accessory manufacturers. Existing since 1952, the company works only with the best designers, including Patricia Urquiola, Ron Arad, Carlo Colombo, Enrico Franzolini, Mark Newson, Toshiyuki Kita, Antonio Citterio and many other world celebrities. Moroso has also been lighting up new stars for over half a century.
Remaining constantly at the vanguard of world design, Moroso surprises with its fresh solutions and young character. Sophisticated and original sofas and armchairs, a wide range of materials, excellent quality, comfort and a vivid and memorable style distinguish Moroso and make it absolutely unique, unlike any other furniture brand.
